A responsible and collaborative approach

Consideration of material risks and opportunities (“Sustainability Considerations”) are part of CVC Income & Growth Limited (CVCIG)’s investment process and consistent with CVC Credit’s investment objectives. We oversee the disclosures, policies and processes adopted by the Investment Vehicle Manager, which also monitors the evolving sustainability initiatives from European and UK regulators, legislative, industry associations, the harmonisation of frameworks, and the development of sustainability best practice.

We make the necessary disclosures in our Annual Report and on this website as an Article 6 fund under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation (SFDR).

Sustainability is a regular agenda topic for the Board and is discussed as a formal agenda item once a year. The Company and its Investment Vehicle Manager are guided by CVC Group’s Responsible Investment Policy, which outlines CVC’s group-wide approach to integrating material sustainability factors within the investment process for all asset classes. We also have regular discussions with CVC Group and the Investment Vehicle Manager, CVC Credit. In addition, to ensure the Board is informed about relevant developments and collaborative industry activities relating to Sustainability, CVCIG participates in the Sustainability and ESG initiatives of industry bodies including the Association of Investment Companies (AIC). Vanessa Neill, senior consultant, practitioner and advisor specialising in sustainability, is member of the AIC’s ESG Forum. This participation provides useful insights on current ESG initiatives and issues in the investment trust sector and the debt, loan and CLO markets.

SFDR

The EU Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation (SFDR) requires managers to assess and disclose how sustainability risks are considered in their investment processes, and how they consider investment decisions that might result in negative effects on sustainability factors, known as Principal Adverse Impacts. While the EU SFDR does not have a direct impact in the UK due to Brexit, it applies to third-country products marketed in the EU. CVC Income & Growth Limited is a self-managed alternative investment fund (AIF) and is marketed in the EU by CVC Credit Partners and, therefore, has been registered as an Article 6 fund under SFDR and makes the required disclosures in its financial reports.
